We come from medical professions and other socially essential professions, who due to our medical, scientific, and ethical positions, our therapeutic freedom, our conscientious decisions, and our public criticism of COVID coercive measures and regulations, have been politically persecuted, criminalized, and professionally destroyed.Your claim that such persecution did not occur denies our existence, our fates, and the undeniable facts. 2. The RealityTargeted prosecution, destruction, and the ruin of livelihoods through court proceedings and convictions have repeatedly occurred in Germany since 2020. An article in the weekly newspaper “Welt am Sonntag” reported that, as of October 2024, there were at least 1,000 concluded criminal cases against doctors for so-called “mask exemptions” in Germany – legal proceedings in which doctors were punished for issuing exemptions from the COVID mask mandate. Sometimes the reasoning was that their patients had not been physically examined. Considering the era of telemedicine and the constantly changing regulations at the time, along with continuous media and health authority messages urging “Please stay home – Stay Home!”, this accusation represents a glaring contradiction. Some cases were dismissed with fines, but there were also convictions with heavy fines, professional bans, and prison sentences.When doctors with decades of professional experience are suddenly persecuted and charged, must defend themselves before high criminal courts for allegedly violating medical professional standards, and are presented in handcuffs and leg restraints to presiding judges for weeks or months in high-security detention, the question arises whether proportionality is still maintained, whether fundamental and human rights are sufficiently respected, and whether this conduct is compatible with the rule of law and medical freedom of conscience and therapy. Raids on homes and practices (in which doctors, scientists, and therapists were sometimes physically and psychologically severely injured), criminal investigations, charges, and convictions against doctors, scientists, and therapists solely for so-called divergent medical opinions, prison sentences, and life-ruining fines, revocation or suspension of licenses, professional bans, disciplinary proceedings by medical associations, seizure of patient records and files in violation of doctor-patient confidentiality and data protection, practice closures, account seizures, public defamation, censorship, suppression of scientific debate, media pre-judgment, and social ostracism, continue to this day. These measures affected not only isolated cases but consistently engaged, highly respected, established practicing and independent doctors, therapists, alternative practitioners, and prominent scientists and professors who followed their medical responsibilities, conscience, and oath. Their deeply ethical and humane behavior was met with fabricated criminal accusations, sometimes including false claims of profiteering. It was overlooked that all exemptions were medically evidence-based and intended to protect patients. They therefore were neither falsifications of documents nor incorrect health certificates. Media reports focus on distant countries under dictatorships where dissidents had to flee into exile. However, even in Germany, doctors and scientists fled into exile due to massive persecution and are sometimes still pursued there. Comprehensive reporting in public media about this state persecution has not occurred. 3. We are not a "theory," we are affectedMany of us have been:- deprived of our licenses, - deprived of our practices, - deprived of our economic livelihoods, - deprived of our reputations, - deprived of our retirement provisions, - deprived of our freedom, and families have been destroyed, livelihoods ruined, and entire life’s work obliterated. …And you publicly claim this is “untrue”?! This statement mocks those affected. 4. Political and state responsibilityThe targeted persecution of doctors critical of COVID measures and vaccines was no accident. It was politically motivated, as evident from RKI protocols, supported by authorities, aided by a non-independent judiciary, and socially reinforced.It served the enforcement of a uniform political agenda – not open scientific debate and not patient protection. That the Ministry of Health still does not acknowledge this reality but publicly denies it demonstrates ongoing denial and concealment of countless perceived legal violations, as well as evasion and refusal of responsibility. 5. Constitutional violationWhat has happened constitutes a massive infringement on professional freedom (Art. 12 GG), freedom of expression (Art. 5 GG), freedom of conscience (Art. 4 GG), medical therapeutic freedom, and fundamental principles of the rule of law. These infringements have not yet been addressed, nor have the affected been rehabilitated and compensated.6. Our unambiguous clarificationWe hereby clarify:Since the beginning of the so-called "Corona pandemic," there has been systematic, legal, professional, and political persecution of doctors, scientists, therapists, and healthcare professionals in Germany who criticized or rejected COVID measures, regulations, and laws. Doctors who sincerely, exemplary, and lawfully adhered to medical professional codes, the Hippocratic Oath, the Geneva Declaration, and the Nuremberg Code were arbitrarily and deliberately targeted by investigative authorities and the judiciary. Numerous judgments were issued against doctors who issued justified mask exemptions or vaccine incapacity certificates to the best of their knowledge and conscience, even though they complied with professional standards. Prosecutors investigated unilaterally and no longer objectively. Judges, under public pressure, did not dare to make any decision other than a conviction. This persecution is reality. Your public counterstatement is therefore factually incorrect and constitutes denial of reality. 7. Our demandsWe demand that you immediately correct your public statement, officially acknowledge the persecution of doctors critical of COVID measures and vaccines, initiate an independent investigation, implement rehabilitation and compensation for those affected, and clearly distance yourself from the criminalization of medical conscientious decisions! Anything else would be a continuation of injustice by other means.A rule-of-law democracy thrives on truth, transparency, and willingness to critically review state actions. This includes calling injustice by its name. We will not be silenced! We will not accept that our fates are politically downplayed or denied. We demand truth, responsibility, and justice. This includes full rehabilitation and compensation for all doctors, scientists, therapists, nurses, healthcare professionals, critical prosecutors, critical judges, soldiers, teachers, firefighters, emergency service personnel, and police officers. We demand full rehabilitation for all those who, in the last six years, have stood up for human dignity, fundamental and human rights, and therapeutic freedom, and were persecuted, punished, and convicted for it. We demand the full restoration of medical self-determination, an end to politically motivated prosecutions, and the guarantee of constitutionally protected medical therapeutic freedom. We emphatically await your public statement.
