The Peace Protesters and the Schizophrenia of the WarmongersOn March 19, 2025, a rally under the slogan "Weapons for billions do not create peace!" will take place at 5:00 PM at the market in Weißenfels.  The event is directed against rising military spending and criticizes the politics that, according to the organizers, operates with "lies." The poster for the rally depicts a symbolic representation of a politician with crossed fingers behind their back, suggesting deception, alongside a peace dove with an olive branch. The demonstration aims to make a statement for peace and diplomacy.  The Schizophrenia of the Warmongers – When Climate Goals and Human Lives Suddenly Don’t MatterThe hypocrisy of the federal government is almost beyond belief. On one hand, the population is lectured about sacrifice and climate protection – less driving, less meat eating, less heating. All for the good of the planet, of course. On the other hand, billions are flowing into the arms industry, into weapons that release more CO₂ in a single use than thousands of households in a year. And when you listen to Jens Spahn, it seems money doesn't matter at all. "What good is the best debt brake if the Russian is at the door?" he recently proclaimed – a sentence that not only echoes the bluntest war propaganda but also makes clear where this is all headed: rearmament at any cost.The Politics Want War – Not the PeopleIt is always the politics that want war, not the people. Enemies are constructed, cemented over years, and reinforced by media propaganda. Russia is the new specter, to be fought at any cost. The responsibility for the escalation? Nowhere to be found! Instead of diplomatic solutions, the federal government opts for escalation, arms deliveries, and an arms spiral that leads to madness. Anyone who expresses even the slightest doubts is labeled a "Putin sympathizer." A serious debate about peace? Impossible in a climate dominated by war cries and rearmament hysteria.Oreschnik and the Pointlessness of RearmamentMeanwhile, there are already weapon systems like Oreschnik, against which no one can seriously defend themselves. These hypersonic missiles make the entire Western defense strategy obsolete. But instead of acknowledging this and drawing the logical consequence – diplomacy and de-escalation – politics opts for more weapons, more billions, more escalation. It's a madness without equal: billions for the illusion of security, while real security – peace – is trampled underfoot.Special Funds? No, Squandered Money!All these hundreds of billions of euros, euphemistically called "special funds," are nothing more than an unprecedented waste. Even if the weapons are never used – and that's the optimistic assumption – it's still wasted money. Money that is missing from the social sector, for schools, hospitals, pensions, affordable housing. While people in Germany are falling into poverty, while caregivers are burned out, and while the education system is on the verge of collapse, the arms industry is being fattened with taxpayer money. And all for a war that the people don't want, but which politics presents as inevitable through their scare-mongering.Profitable Business – Rheinmetall Is Doing Really Well Right Now Why This War Madness?The question arises: Why is it so important for current politics to make a war with Russia at least conceivable, if not feasible? Is it really about security? Or is it rather about geopolitical interests, vassal loyalty, about the imposition of a new world order at the expense of the European population? The arms industry is certainly happy – and the warmongers in politics even profit from the fear they themselves have stoked.It's time to see through this murderous game. War is not a solution, war is a lie. And those who enable it should answer to the people whose well-being they claim to protect. Where Are the Environmental Activists?Actually, all environmental activists, and especially the Greens, should be up in arms right now. After all, the arms industry is one of the biggest destroyers of the environment, and wars leave nothing but scorched earth. But where is the protest? Where are the "Fridays for Future" demonstrations against warmongering? Apparently, they are so clouded by propaganda that they no longer see the obvious truth: There is no contradiction greater than preaching climate protection while simultaneously enabling war.
