This right is guaranteed by the Basic Law, and even Mr. Runkewitz is not authorized to restrict this fundamental right! His announcements that it would be better to stop holding any foot demonstrations in Zeitz and to forbid the vehicle participants from honking even surprised the head of the police in Zeitz. Because of this behavior by Mr. Runkewitz, we have come to the conclusion: • That Mr. Runkewitz apparently no longer performs his official duties with political neutrality, although we initially had a quite good cooperation in January 2024 – and: We are not Nazis! • That, therefore, there is a justified suspicion based on his behavior that Mr. Runkewitz might misuse his official powers in the future to restrict or prevent demonstrations in our city by concerned citizens who peacefully want to demonstrate together with the farmers, entrepreneurs, and all people against the increasing threat to people's livelihoods. Since a trusting cooperation with this employee of your authority is no longer possible, we expect from you, dear Mr. Peter Hoekstra, that you assign another employee to handle our applications for this and future demonstrations in Zeitz.
