Everything's Broken, Even Though We Sent So Many Weapons – Peace Rally in Zeitz on March 3, 2025 and Bridge LightingNews consumers heard about the scandal in the White House in the USA. Now, high-ranking German politics has a big problem too: The signs seem to point toward peace.
Source: https://debeste.de/308770/Alles-kaputt Difficult times are also approaching for Germany. Online, I keep coming across a funny image that says: “Everything's broken, even though we sent so many weapons!” And that describes the current situation quite well. But it's not just about the destruction caused by war, it's also about the destruction of past politics – especially European and German ones. The "evil" Trump and the even "more evil" Putin appear to be preparing to end the war in Ukraine. They seem to want to cooperate. They seem to want to lift sanctions to allow for more economic exchange. And they’re doing all of this without the Europeans. Terrible, isn’t it? Everything was in vain – the countless arms deliveries, the billions in funds, the many lives lost for “our” freedom and “our” democracy. It's becoming more and more apparent that this war – which could have ended as early as April 2022, but political leaders, including in Germany, didn't want it to – was completely pointless. All the engagement, the demonization of Putin and Trump, the war-mongering, did not achieve the desired goal: to put the "evil Russians" in their place. And now, of all people, the enemies of “our” democracy want to bring peace. A catastrophe, right?! What else can be done?Obviously the only “right” thing: Just before the change of government, pump hundreds of billions more into rearmament. Rumor has it there’s talk of 900 billion in “special funds” – meaning loans. Okay, also for infrastructure. But that amounts to around €11,000 per citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany – from infant to elderly. For a family of four with two children, that's nearly €44,000 that mom and dad have to somehow come up with – assuming they have jobs and can keep them. Oh, I forgot the roughly €22,000 owed by grandma and grandpa – mom and dad, of course, get to earn that too. But that’s just the price we have to pay for “our” freedom and “our” democracy, right?Rebellion Zeitz Continues to Take to the Streets for PeaceThe group Rebellion Zeitz will continue to protest – including this Monday in Zeitz starting at 6 p.m. This also includes the Bridge Lighting events, for which the March dates have been announced. Alongside peace, safety is also important to them.
Also above the A9, near the Rippachtal interchange, the group around DasRehlein from in and around Lützen will continue raising awareness. Author: AI-Translation - Michael Thurm | 03.03.2025 |
