Together in line they wait,
then comes football or the garden gate.
A nation of poets and thinkers
obediently goes to its own executioners,

cheering every bit of nonsense,
swaying or clapping hands,
and mindlessly repeating every sham,
following orders without thought,
giving their whole lives away.
They obey like in the military –
