Because we all know: patriotism is a very bad thing. Yes, patriotism only matters when it comes to keeping the production sites of our big corporations here at home—as our far-sighted Minister of Economy Habeck once made clear. And of course, patriotism becomes relevant when our democracy is defended on the front lines in Ukraine against Russia and maybe soon China. For that, you always need foolish people who blindly follow government patriotism. Otherwise, patriotism is not only unnecessary but clearly dangerous. But these bridge mumblers? You just can’t take them seriously. They seriously claim they enjoy this bridge-illuminating. Enjoy! How disgusting is that? They protest against our well-deserved government and have fun doing it? That is simply outrageous! Protests should be serious, grim, and full of rage! Okay, the LGBTQIA+ demos often look like parties too. But that’s something completely different! Those people at least partly call themselves “gay,” which is known to mean “happy.” That fits! But bridge geniuses? It’s just disgusting when these people even celebrate their protest. They actually have playlists with music! They dance, wave to passing drivers, and now even wear LED jackets so they’re better visible on the bridges at night. How is that supposed to be a protest? That’s an insult to every serious activism. But it gets worse: these mumblers even bring food! They stand there with delicious homemade vegetable soups from their own gardens, sausages, potato salad, or other delicacies and enjoy a nice evening. How can our state authorities allow this? Let’s just remember the perfectly justified police decision at the Berlin demo in August to ban selling and even giving away water bottles in the heat. Why doesn’t this happen with these bridge occupiers? The more these bridge geniuses eat and drink, the longer they keep up their absurd show.
And then these government haters even say they enjoy meeting like-minded people at these so-called bridge illuminations, chatting nicely, and even “networking offline.” Wonderful, and how is our state security supposed to keep up if they suddenly turn away from social networks? This is clearly a strategy to evade intelligence services and surveillance. This is more than alarming. Luckily, they still film their misdeeds and put them online so everyone can see what kind of people dare to criticize our fantastic government. This gives all government supporters the opportunity to spread such videos on social media so everyone can see what these mumblers are like.
But the worst part: the drivers! Especially the truck drivers, who show their support for these peace fanatics with honking and flashing lights, encouraging the bridge agitators to continue and even increase such actions. That’s the height of insolence. What’s next? When the government raises taxes or fees again, will these bridge-mumbler sympathizers block highways and country roads again? Or will they perhaps even paralyze our beautiful capital so that our government is hindered in conducting official business? Maybe hundreds of thousands will join them again! Immediately, those terrible images from 1989 in Leipzig and other cities of the GDR come to mind. It’s unthinkable what that could lead to. Politics is called upon! Urgently! If this bridge-illuminating continues unchecked or even escalates, dark times lie ahead – our first-class traffic light coalition government could resign, new elections could be called.
