To support regional entrepreneurs with the mandatory implementation of electronic invoicing, the Digitalization Center Zeitz is hosting a free seminar titled “Mandatory E-Invoicing from 2025: What Entrepreneurs Need to Know Now.” It will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brikettfabrik Herrmannschacht in Zeitz. Participants will learn about the relevant framework conditions of the upcoming e-invoicing obligation. The Digitalization Center will also serve free grilled food at the event.

Mandatory E-Invoicing from 2025

With the Growth Opportunities Act (WtcG) passed on March 22, 2024, the Bundesrat has paved the way for the phased introduction of mandatory electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) in the B2B sector. Starting January 1, 2025, all companies based in Germany must be able to receive, process, and archive electronic invoices in compliance with the principles of proper accounting (GoBD). By the end of 2027, companies will also be gradually required to issue their invoices electronically when conducting business with other companies. This obligation demands adjustments in companies’ accounting processes, which also impact IT security and data protection. Aiming to support regional value creation, the Digitalization Center Zeitz informs companies today and in the future about digital topics.

Free Information Evening with Networking BBQ for Entrepreneurs

The seminar “Mandatory E-Invoicing from 2025: What Entrepreneurs Need to Know Now” will be held on May 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brikettfabrik Herrmannschacht in Zeitz. Sven Sommer, staff member of the Chamber of Crafts Halle (Saale) and the Mittelstand-Digital Center Leipzig-Halle, will inform participants about the legal and technical framework conditions of the upcoming e-invoicing obligation. Entrepreneurs will gain insights into the definition criteria of electronic invoices as well as the necessary steps to implement a corresponding invoicing system. “Many entrepreneurs view the upcoming obligation with uncertainty. With our seminar, we want to prepare them stress-free for the upcoming implementation,” says Matthias Laue, Head of the Digitalization Center Zeitz.

The event is aimed at all entrepreneurs who need to adapt their business processes to the new invoicing obligation. In addition to acquiring new knowledge, the seminar offers the opportunity to ask personal questions and network with other entrepreneurs.
