Against the Strange Machinations of Strange People Directed Against the German People – Demonstration in Zeitz on October 6, 2025Peace activists from Zeitz and Thuringia defy wind and weather – with songs, poems, and a clear message for peace and humanity. On October 6, 2025, at 6 p.m., peace activists from *Aufbruch Zeitz* and *Rebellion Zeitz*, along with people from our region and from Thuringia interested in peace, gathered on the Altmarkt in Zeitz – between the town hall and the former Gestapo torture cellar – to protest against the current war policies of the German government. At the peace rally, there were speeches and a small cultural program featuring newly written peace songs by one of our activists, as well as a peace poem. Despite the bad autumn weather, the atmosphere among participants was good. Afterwards, everyone joined the protest march, both on foot and in a car convoy, through our hometown of Zeitz. The next Monday demonstration in Zeitz will take place again on November 3, 2025, at the Altmarkt. In addition, every Thursday during the “Bridge Lights” event between Grana and Theißen above the B2, we show our faces for peace.
