Most people long for stability, security, and a normal everyday life, yet the path to collective action – to demonstrations, to public demands – seems rocky. Those who advocate for peace stand against a flood of political decisions portrayed as unavoidable. But right now, it becomes clear how important it is for citizens to raise their voices before it is too late. Peace is more than just the absence of war. It is the foundation for a functioning society, for a stable economy, for fair educational opportunities, and for a livable future for our children and grandchildren. As long as the majority remains silent, direction is determined by a few – and the risk rises that long-term consequences are ignored. That is why it is time to gather courage. It is time to make it clear that we want a future not shaped by warmongering, insecurity, and economic hardship. A future in which our children and grandchildren can grow up in peace and prosperity. 
On 21.09.2025 at 3:00 PM, the “DEMO for Peace and Our Economy” will take place at the Marketplace in Dessau. All citizens who want to make a strong statement are invited. The flyer reads: "No peace without a strong economy. For the future of our children and grandchildren." We, the Craftsmen for Peace and the Family and Economic Initiative Dessau-Rosslau, together with many companies from all over Saxony-Anhalt, call for a large demonstration for peace and the strengthening of our economy. It is about our future, not the interests of ruling politicians – We are the people. Craftsmen and representatives of our economy will speak.
