It was terrible! AfD Citizens’ Dialogue in Hohenmölsen on 25.08.2025On August 25, 2025, the AfD parliamentary group hosted a citizens’ dialogue in Hohenmölsen. Present were Ulrich Siegmund, Martin Reichardt, Lothar Waehler, Gordon Köhler, and Tobias Rausch. Shock: No counter-demonstration!I set out to capture this citizens’ dialogue on video for posterity. But as soon as I arrived at the Lindenhof, I made a remarkable discovery—or rather, no discovery at all. There was no counter-demonstration on site, no Antifa, no slogan shouters, nothing.People! What is going on? You can’t just let a secured party hold a citizens’ dialogue without even the slightest attempt to disrupt these conversations between politicians and the rabbl... erm... citizens, that sovereign people. I don’t get it. A friendly welcome instead of harassmentWhen I entered the Lindenhof hall, I was greeted warmly. They were actually pleased that I came to film. Even worse, I was allowed to choose my own spot to film from. How can that be? In the city council of Weißenfels, for example, it’s common practice that camera people are forced into the most unfavorable positions so that recordings turn out badly. Here, I even removed three chairs from a row to make space, and no one—neither the organizers nor security—complained. No objections whatsoever, unlike what I’m used to elsewhere. Very strange. The cable scandal of HohenmölsenOn top of that, I asked whether I could use an extension cord to power my camera so I wouldn’t have to swap batteries. And here came the next shock: not only was an extension cord offered right away, it was immediately fetched and laid out together with me. In democratic Weißenfels, such a thing would probably have been unthinkable.200 chairs are not enough! The hall filled up. Chairs were set up for 200 citizens. But they weren’t enough. Terrible, how many people in Hohenmölsen and the surrounding area wanted to come to this secured party event. Among the visitors were also young people and even a baby stroller. How is that possible, right? Endless applauseAnd how frenetically these citizens applauded again and again. The colleague from the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung didn’t even last until the end.Ulrich in ecstasySiegmund Ulrich recalled that he had been in Hohenmölsen before. Back then he was enthusiastic—and on this August 25, 2025, he was enthusiastic once again. Are so many Hohenmölsen residents secured? But also the topics: Terrible! They want to abolish the broadcasting fee because citizens shouldn’t have to pay for disinformation.Attack on bureaucracyThey want to slim down the administration and even the Bundestag to save money. Hello? We all know that only bureaucracy still creates jobs. And as someone once said: “Bureaucracy was created to serve the needs of bureaucracy.”Why does the AfD ignore that? Tobias Rausch, who is also an entrepreneur, said he wants less paperwork and doesn’t want to justify himself for every little thing. Ministers should have expertise? Outrageous!Ulrich Siegmund also declared that if the AfD takes on government responsibility in Saxony-Anhalt, ministers must understand their field. A family minister should have a family. An economics minister should know something about economics, not be a children’s book author.Unbelievable, isn’t it? Food instead of wind turbines – how backward! They don’t want agricultural land—especially land with good soil quality—covered with wind turbines or solar panels, because agriculture is supposed to provide people with food.Seriously? Who needs food when you have wind and solar power? Besides, food can be imported from abroad, from South America or Africa, right? Schools without ideology? Scandal! Then they want ideology out of schools. Schools should be neutral and focus on education. An outrage, isn’t it? How else are children supposed to be brought into line early on if not in school? Should children really be left to the political and social views of their parents and grandparents? That can’t possibly be right, can it? The end of compulsory schooling! They even want to abolish compulsory schooling. There should only be compulsory learning. It should be decided individually how children learn.Unheard of, right? Abandoning this German tradition, which hardly exists anywhere else in the world. Surely that can’t be in the spirit of the inventor, the Kaiser of the time! Too much money for citizens! They want a tax-free allowance of 24,000 euros per year and pensions not to be taxed. Civil servants should also pay into the pension system.Um... Hello? People can’t even handle that much money. Deportation instead of social benefitsFurthermore, they want refugees without a right to stay, or foreigners who have committed crimes, to be deported. Their benefits should be cut to zero. They referred to Denmark, where 90% of those affected left the country voluntarily as a result. This is supposed to save money in the budget. But that’s impossible! And surely we can’t expose criminals to punishment in their home countries, can we? Questions without time limit – unbelievable! And then this constant questioning from the citizens! In every democratic city or district council, it’s standard that citizens’ question time is limited to 30 minutes. Each citizen gets at most 3 minutes for question and answer, unless the answer is given in writing within 30 days. But what did I have to witness in Hohenmölsen? There were no restrictions at all on time or number of questions. Multiple questions could be asked. And questions were answered by several of the five on stage. They were even glad when unusual questions were asked—and these were answered thoroughly. Nothing in writing. Why are the AfD people deviating so much from established democratic tradition? Citizen’s Voice instead of silenceI was shocked to hear reference to Die Bürgerstimme, where one can also watch video recordings from the district council to see how the democrats work, who regularly reject AfD motions.Am I secured now too? Too much democracy for the sovereign?Well, I don’t know if we, the rabbl... erm... citizens, the sovereign people, can really handle as much democracy as was on display in Hohenmölsen. After all, the question is: Why shouldn’t “Our Democracy” of the old parties be absolutely sufficient? The video proofDon’t believe any of this? Then watch the video!
