Hundreds of Books Await Young Bookworms at the 12th Zeitz “Reading Summer XXL”The Reading Summer in Zeitz begins on June 21 at 2:00 PM in the “Martin Luther” City Library
Equipped with internet access and a smartphone or tablet, children explore the world and go on digital adventures. But even with the endless possibilities offered by technology, children are not giving up reading. Just like adults, they love to dive into entirely different, strange, and mysterious worlds. And what better way to do that than with a gripping book? There’s always time to read, and if everyday life doesn’t allow much of it, kids can use the holidays instead. Besides vacation and other leisure activities, reading one or more books allows them to embark on even more exciting adventures. One such opportunity is the Zeitz “READING SUMMER XXL,” which begins at the start of summer break on June 21 at 2:00 PM in the “Martin Luther” City Library and runs until August 3. Now in its twelfth year, the event invites students aged 10 to 13 to take part. Registration is free for participating students and can be done at any time during the holiday period. During the READING SUMMER XXL, students choose at least two titles from hundreds of specially selected reading summer books. When returning the books, library staff ask two questions per book, and those who answer them correctly receive a certificate of recognition. This certificate can be presented at school and may be acknowledged there as a special achievement. During this time, the Martin Luther City Library will be open as follows: Monday and Friday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Tuesday and Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM On the first Saturday of the month: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Author: AI-Translation - Lars Werner, Pressesprecher Stadt Zeitz | vor dem 01.07.2024 |
